Question

Fonts not showing in Vector Stock

Hello,

I’m a newbie to Adobe contributors.

I posted my first vector file (logotype like) and it was accepted.

But the fonts are missing "brand name - tagline".

My visual isn’t balanced since the fonts at the bottom are missing.

When I transfered it first, they were visible.

What did I do wrong ?

Should I use a specific font ?

Should I create outlines ?

This Help page has several suggestions regarding the use of text. Have you read it?

Do: Avoid text unless it’s a necessary part of your composition, because buyers may need to select a substitute font.

Thank you.
I did.
When I checked logotypes on Adobe Stock I saw some with text.
I thought it was considered as a part of the composition.

Without seeing the asset, we can't say a lot. If you use fonts, they should be in the Adobe fonts collection. You can also use fonts that are publicly available, like Google fonts. But that is for allowing the buyer to work with the assets.

You should only create outlines when there are no other solutions. Outlines freeze the text. It's rather bad practice.

What does that mean?

You should include screenshots of the problem.

Thank you for your answer.
Unfortunately, I have no patience 🙂 and I deleted it.
Without the fonts visible the preview was unbalanced.

I did. I used "Ofelia Display" and "Ofelia Text".

It means that when I uploaded my file (.ai), the preview showed the fonts.
But it was accepted without it.

Here the part that was missing from my file.

Try again, it may be a system glitch. Previews are generated by the system.

If you are preparing a vector with editable text, you have to take great care, because the end users don't have the fonts on your computer, only their own fonts. You cannot share fonts with them (not possible, and would not be legal if it were possible!) Some people say you should convert all to curves, but then it is not suitable for stock because the text isn't editable. You can try using fonts only in Adobe Fonts subscription service - these will at least be available to those Stock subscribers who have a CC subscription too. This is a messy area, and I would like to hear if there is any better recommendation.

Thank you for your answer.
The fonts used were from Adobe CC : "Ofelia Display" and "Ofelia Text".
