FTP connection error

I am trying to upload videos using the FTP video site. When I try to connect I always get an error:

I am absolutely sure of being using the correct ftp address, username and password.

I wonder if it has something to do with my location? I am trying to connect from Ecuador.

There is more than one possibility to fail:

You can eliminate most of those factors by changing the potential failing factor. You should also check the parameters you are sure off.
