Have purchased photos from Fotolia and now can`t get my licenses

Hello,

I have spent a few days trying to resolve it via help desk chat. No help from them at all.

Very confusing situation : I legally purchased photos and now I don`t have my old license history to prove it.

I purchased a photo in 2017 from Fotolia.com. I didn’t know that Fotolia was merged with Adobe. So, I didn’t synchronize my account.

Now I have got a legal issue: the author of this photo wants to make a lawsuit with me.

I can’t enter my old account in Fotolia to download license and there is no old history in my new account on Adobe. I registered again in Adobe using the same email as I used in Fotolia.

How can I prove that I really purchased this photo?

What I have now is a photo  itself with a Fotolia number on it.

I have a letter from Fotolia giving me a link to download.

My bank doesn’t keep the history older than 5 years. However, I have a letter from Fotolia that suggests I have paid for photos.

How can I get the license history for it?

Never thought I would have such problems when buying officially.

Interesting dilema! Be pro active. I am a photographer-creator, the first thing should do is stop usuing the photo everywhere.  Second, you should have email records of all your photo purchases from Fotolia.

Have you looked at the photographer´s profiel and library in Adobe, or searched for the actual photo in Adobe_

I would then reply to the photographer informing all your steps, and that he is better off dealing with adobe directly.

Copyright theft is a serious problem for creators, but there´s also some... creeps that use the legal process to intimidate and force settlements... Be smart, stay polite but by no means display any signs of intimidation.

I am also sure Adobe will eventually come through for you.

Best wishes

I have already removed all the photos purchased from Fotolia. Will use my own iphone photo instead. Don`t want to spent so much time proving licenses.  That is not fair taking in account I have spent money. Contacted Adobe Intellectual Property Agent via email. Hope they will help me.
