Hello! These photos were rejected, I can think of why for some, but the rest not so much

Turns out these got accepted!

What was the rejection reason?

0178: out of focus:

(seen at 100%)

Artefacts and noise:

0061:

Noise and artefacts, out of focus.

Bad composition: that white something is disturbing.

0064:

The first one that is in focus, but there is a lot of noise.

You also have here that white something.

0059:

Noise and the focus is on the back of the head (mane).

(noise at 100%)

The fence is disturbing in all the pictures.

In addition to the technical issues noted by Nancy, it is likely that a property release would have been requested as well. Most zoos do not allow commercial use of photographs of their animals.

Don't submit images for review unless they are technically and visually perfect for commercial use.   Adobe Stock customers won't buy them.

Examine images at 100-300% magnification. Inspect them in your Photoshop or Lightroom Histogram panel.  All four images have problems with focus, exposure and white balance.
