Help me understand why my photos are getting rejected due to technical issues

Here are some of my recent submissions which were rejected for technical reasons. Help me understand what are these technical issues

Crop this out. It detracts from the main subject of your image and doesn't look good.

With selective cropping, and some slight adjustments to sharpness and levels, I think it's a more interesting photo.

The first image is underexposed, not sharply focused and has artifacts in the sky.

the second image is also not sharply focused.
