The sky is a bit overexposed, and the shadows are a bit underexposed. You would also have to remove the sign on what appears to be a hotel on the far right in order to avoid an IP rejection.

I suppose the refusal reason was quality issues? The right is overexposed, and there are sensor stains.

What about IP? Builing at the right!

With a quick glance around the photo at 100% view, I noticed quite a few imperfections.

  • There are both areas that are too light and too dark in the photo that should be evened out.
  • There are sensor spots and artefacts in the sky.
  • As already noted, there is debris in the water that should be cloned out.  There are also sensor spots on the water.
  • The buildings on the right are overexposed, soft in focus, and the vertical lines of the house are noticeably skewed.  The auto vertical geometry correction in Lightroom fixed this.
  • I know this is a sunrise/sunset photo, but I think the white balance needs some tweaking.  I found the colors more pleasing with a slight shift towards magenta and a bit cooler.  That may be personal taste though.

I hope this perspective helps.  Cheers!

Yes, overexposure and a lot of stains in the water that could have been cleaned
