Question

Hi everyone, I’m sharing this image, which was rejected due to quality issues. It’s the first one I’ve uploaded, and this is what happened—could you help me out and tell me what might have gone wrong?

I also think it is a problem of composition and distance from the camera to the first subject. The birds are not clearly in a zoo or captivity environment. The place where the shoot was taken can't be clearly recognized either on the photo. If it is a zoo or a place with intelectual property rights be sure it doesn't appear on the title or keywords, as the words can also be reason for rejection.

I believe you aren't allowed to submit animals that are in a zoo or an animal  park-like situation where they are owned by someone else. These are definitely in a zoo-like environment and would be automatically rejected, no matter what the quality would be.

Check with the animal park/zoo’s website about their commercial use policy. Each park is different.

If the animal has tags, you need permission from the owner.

Put more distance between the camera & your subject. Allow extra space for ad copy. Avoid clipping your subject.

This is what you’re competing with in Stock inventory.

Also read the 4-part photography section in your Contributor User Guide, starting here:

    Hope that helps.

    Hello,

Your composition is an issue here. Background could be better; lighting could be better. This is more of a snapshot, rather than a photo for stock purposes.

Composition is really important in order to have a successful photo.

Info from the Adobe help files:
