The Help section contains a great deal of very important information.
Let's start by reading it.

@Jill_C I agree with the basics of your statement.

But in this conversation… ironically your point is off. Fact: very time I participate with “my opinions” I give direct answers to a contributor’s question. Sometimes I express my agreement with yourself or other contributors, and I try not to make my personal opinions when I disagree with other people opinions… until someone decides they want to express their disagreements with mine.

I’m interested in debating when a good or bad composition or exposure. When I see good enough work, potential and sincerity asking for guidance, I’m interested in helping that person with my opinions. The “Community Police” is not for controlling or dismissing someone else's opinions... I bet you agree with that. Disrespect is not exclusively in the form of personal insults. If it’s okay with you when an “expert contributor” responds to questions like they are talking to children, I guess it’s fine, so please respect that it is not okay with me.

iProfessional courtesy is not about having a title, is a simple concept of mutual respect.

I assume you’re aware I’ve been here for over a year answering contributors questions, and also have seen my disbelief with those who say they have done nothing wrong to have their account suspended, and I don’t sugar coat my comments.

Jill, forgive me for waving my 35+ years of experience working as professional photographer, I still pinch myself for how lucky I am for that, and something I look up and respect on anyone else that has been able to do that.

I have two questions for you. Why and what for does Adobe allow contributor’s to DM with each other? And why is it encouraging a contributor to reach out to me via DM “if they’d like” so I can know more details on where they are so I can be more specific on how to help them “with my knowledge and experience” has to be an insinuation of an inappropriate conversation, or off topic attempt other than what I’m clearly posting in public?

Not that I think it’s personal, but to me that is unprofessional and disrespectful.

You will not find an example of me responding here to other people like they are children, because it doesn’t exist. I always treat others with courtesy and respect. I did not state or imply that engaging in a DM with other forum participants is wrong or suspect; I said that I don’t respond to DM’s regarding Adobe stock or photography in general, because doing so does not benefit the community as a whole.

Jill I agree, I don’t recall a single time you were not courteous and respectful. I wasn't referring about you. I was only answering to your message which is in part the response to another contributor’s comments.

Let me emphasize one last very important point, I appreciate Everyone’s disposition to help here.

Nancy, I don’t know what kind of experience you have, or what type of assets you contribute. I would need to understand more about what you are doing I order to you help with specific tips on to stimulate your creativity and help you increase your stock sales. This is better done one on one. Don’t hesitate to DM me, I’m open to mentoring and coaching anyone that is nice and eager to improve… and it’s 100% free.

Have a great weekend!

I appreciate your willingness to help people. I really do. But you’re not an Adobe approved trainer or mentor. You could be privately telling users to eat rocks. We don’t know.

Nancy, I don’t diminish your ability to reply to every single question made here.
A title is not what makes me an expert,

I think by now you know I have worked as a professional photographer for over 35 years, and humbly I think in the very least I know a little bit about what I’m talking about which is ALWAYS on subjects asked.

Again, what are you the community Police?and why the blatant constant arrogance really about?
“You could be privately telling users to eat rocks”

Put a little effort into thinking how disrespectful that comes of?

Thanks for the idea, I will look at becoming an Adobe approved mentor! Or better yet, become an Adobe approved Coach! 👻

@SERENDIFLIX,

Three basic strategies for success:

Give customers what they’re looking for.
Optimize your metadata (keywords & titles) for web searches.
Build a diverse portfolio of 6,000 or more assets that appeal to a wide range of customers.

Lastly, feel free to promote your work on social media and Adobe Portfolio.

Sharing Adobe Stock Collections with Portfolio

Good luck.
