Hi, had some images rejected and looking for some expert eyes for feedback pls

Had some images rejected for Quality issues and I need some guidance on what the issues are so I can rectify, or learn not to make mistakes again. Fairly new to Adobe stock and editing in general so. Thanks in advance for the Assist

Quality issues aside, you have a good deal lot of competition from other Stock inventory in this keyword. Trees, plants and flowers are over represented in Stock. There’s a high risk of refusal for “similar content.” Stock is looking for uniqueness as well as commercial appeal.

Yeah i dont doubt there is alot of competition in this subject. I enjoy getting out there and learning the process. If I come away with a few that are stock worthy then its a win but if I learn some limitations or mistakes along the way then thats even better.

In the absence of a sales history and proven acceptance rate, new contributors have submission limits which gradually increase over time. You have a weekly limit that resets in 8 days, and a maximum limit on assets in Review. The maximum limit resets when all the assets have been reviewed.

For this reason, a slow & steady approach is best when starting out. Don’t submit work that you wouldn’t buy as a customer. And if there are any doubts that it’s the best work you can do, don’t submit it to Adobe Stock.

Benjamin, you’re the first person I see here attaching a photo via zip, which is way better than attaching to message, allowing to see the photo’s metadata. The Photos need improvement with color and density, the composition of just the tree is a bit too tight in my opinion. But the main problem why the photos were rejected is camera shake, the nicer photo you shot at 1/30 and when you zoom in you can see the movement.

I also think it’s worth saying that adding basic human elements would increase your sales prospects, bring a friend walking the trail, sitting by a tree reading, you could create so many variables plus vertical and horizontal shots. The photos as they are offer less appeal among the many a buyer is comparing… but when you add the human element you can also shoot the trail with no one.

Don’t be intimidated, you will have lots of fun and have a bunch of shots to contribute.

Thats a brilliant insight and one that I had completely overlooked. My own fault for not getting the tripod out more often. Newbie error on my part but im glad its been narrowed down and can test it on my next outing. Thank you for your input. I can download but not open the zip as its macosx

In the future, one way to make sure your uploads are within the file size limit is to do File > Export as… then choose JPG as the file type and move the quality slider to just under 5MB. This at least retains the original dimensions of the image so that we don’t have to magnify them to a great extend when we look at the details.

No problem. Yes, it’s unfortunate there’s a 5MB limit. Anyway, the second one seems underexposed and there’s some lack of detail and sharpness in some of the leaves.

Can you submit a couple actual images? The zip files, at least for me, don’t appear to be downloading. And .zip files might not want to be unpacked in any case for security reasons.
