How do i make a complaint via email plwase
Dear Adobe Customer Support,
I am writing to raise a formal complaint regarding my Adobe Stock subscription and the substantial early cancellation fee that I have been told I must pay.
At the time of purchase, I believed I was purchasing Adobe Stock credits. I did not understand that I was entering into a fixed annual commitment simply because payments were being taken monthly.
More importantly, I do not believe that the annual contractual commitment or the potential charge of approximately 50% of the remaining annual subscription was presented to me in a sufficiently clear, prominent and transparent way before I completed my purchase.
Had I clearly understood that I was committing to a full year and that cancelling early could result in such a substantial financial penalty, I would not have entered into the agreement.
I therefore dispute the cancellation charge.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, consumer contract terms are required to be fair and transparent. I understand that potentially excessive cancellation charges may also be considered unfair depending upon the circumstances and how those terms were presented to the consumer.
I am particularly concerned to note that on 19 March 2026 the UK Competition and Markets Authority announced that it had opened an investigation into Adobe concerning its early cancellation fees.
The CMA has specifically stated that its investigation is examining whether Adobe’s early cancellation terms are unfair and whether customers are provided with clear and timely information upfront about those fees.
This appears directly relevant to my experience.
I am not attempting to avoid an annual contract that I knowingly and clearly agreed to. My complaint is that I was not sufficiently aware that I was entering into an annual commitment or that cancellation could expose me to a charge of approximately 50% of the remaining contract.
I therefore formally request that Adobe:
- Cancels my Adobe Stock subscription without an early termination charge.
- Waives and removes the proposed 50% cancellation fee.
- Confirms that no further subscription or termination payments will be taken from my payment method.
- Provides evidence showing exactly how the annual commitment and 50% early cancellation charge were displayed to me before I completed the original transaction, including the checkout screen and wording applicable to my purchase.
- Provides a copy of the contractual terms that Adobe says I agreed to at the time of purchase.
Please treat this correspondence as a formal consumer complaint.
If Adobe is unwilling to resolve this matter, I will consider referring the circumstances to Citizens Advice Consumer Service and Trading Standards and submitting information regarding my experience to the Competition and Markets Authority in light of its current investigation into Adobe’s cancellation practices.
I also reserve my rights under applicable UK consumer protection legislation regarding unfair or insufficiently transparent contractual terms.
I would prefer to resolve this matter directly and amicably with Adobe. Please confirm in writing that my subscription can be cancelled without the early termination fee.
Kind regards,
Lauren
