How to Handle Text in an AI Vector File

Hi everyone!
I have a question for the community: I’m a vector illustrator and I’m working on a 4-page brochure in EPS format, which includes both illustrations and text.

However, I have a doubt: Adobe recommends converting all text to outlines, but I’ve noticed that some official Adobe templates contain editable text, which I find very useful for the buyer.

My questions are:

  • Is it possible to upload a vector file with editable text?

  • If so, should I use copyright-free fonts (for example, from Google Fonts)?

  • If I use a font, do I need to include it with the EPS file? (As far as I know, during the upload process it’s only possible to submit .EPS or .AI files.)

  • Is there a link for contributors on Adobe where I can get clarification about this?

Thanks a lot for any clarification!
