I am concerned about recent accepted to rejected ratios

I have been using the same gear, same processing technique for a year and have always had a great deal of accepted photos. I am now experience a consistent ratio of 0 to 3 accepted and the rest rejected. Reasons are always falling under 'quality issues'. I am enclosing a photo as an example of one that was actually accepted last year, now rejected this year. I didn't change anything about the photo to trigger a rejected status. Obviously I need to change the situation on my end as it is something I am doing that I need to fix. I am just wondering what it is.

Lastly, I had a friend submit a photo that was accepted. I submitted the exact same photo and it was rejected under quality issues.

Any ideas on what I could do to avoid this in the future and return to a better ratio?

Thank you.

This image is overexposed and has chromatic aberration, so it was correctly refused. Why are you giving a friend your images to upload? This is a violation of the Stock Contributor Agreement.

Look at the histogram. The pixels are buched toward the highlights and whites which indicate overall "over exposure".
Also, the clipping indicator (triangle) is illuminated which means that some whites are so overexposed that all details are lost. This will result in a "quality" rejection.

Adjust the lighting to correct the exposure and the photo should be accepted.

Look at the histogram and notice the difference?

Hi, Ralph - First, thank you. I really appreciate the useful input. I used this particular as an example, however this example was one that has experienced both an excepted status and rejected status without any changes. I do indeed agree with you on your histogram example and understand exactly what you are saying. - I have had to make adjustments to accommodate stock vs what people hang, and your input serves as a clear example. I will make those adjustments and resubmit and again, thank you.

I'm confused. You had a photo accepted, then submitted it again? Why? To test the process? And then you submitted an image that was not yours but that of a friend? Again, to test the process? Reviews are done by different moderators, and one may well accept what another has rejected.

Sorry for any confusion. Yes, you stated it correctly. I had a photo that at one time was accepted. I removed it and later re-submitted it to have it refused. I didn't do anything with the photo other than resubmit it. Secondly, to see if this is an issue specific to me or not, I submitted a photo that was also submitted by someone else. His was accepted; mine was rejected for Quality. Same photo, no additional editing or changes.

Well, my point was, one can get their account disabled for unknowingly uploading someone else's asset, much less on purpose. That said, a number of people on other forums have complained about and excess of rejections despite a record of have assets accepted.
