I am fairly new to photography and I understand image rejection reasons!!

On adobe I get lots of images that are rejected and I get it, but sometimes after checking for noise, sharpness and artifacts I still get rejections. but many other sites accept them? In this image I just wanted a simple photo of organic lemons. Can anyone tell me why this image was rejected so I can improve my stock photography.

Hi @Ivan.Westbrook ,

I like your lemon layout. It would do well for food labels. Unfortunately the capture is not very sharp, there is artifacts and some noise; some of which resemble compression noise. The highlights is a bit too high and thus compromise some details of the lemon cross section.

The information here will help you to better able to identify flaws that the moderators look for.

Best wishes

Jacquelin

The horizon isn't level, and the background is blown out. I wouldn't bother submitting a picture of lemons. There are aleady more 2 million in the database, and yours is unlikely to ever be found or sold.

Thank you for your reply, Yes I can see that the background is blown out but that was intentional in lightroom, I set it to pure white. The horizon I didn't think that would be much of an issue as its only slightly off piste. I just checked online to see how many lemon pictures there are and you are right! There are thousands ha aha does help if you do some research.

thank you for replying.

Leaning horizontal and vertical elements in a picture are quite obvious when you're looking for them, as the Moderators are trained to do.

Indeed, with more than 334 million images in the Adobe Stock database now, it becomes increasingly challenging to find an undiscovered niche to exploit. Look at the "Insights" and "Artist Hub" tabs on your Adobe Stock Dashboard to see what types of images are selling and desirable.
