Hi @Abambo ,

As I said I recognize it as a traidmark. I've been around a long time. I have never left my country and have seen that lion on something other than the computer. I just cant place my finger on it at this time.

Anyway on the subject of similar, There's someone or a number of reviewers that are definately refusing files for similar where there's no similar.

My guess is that either all moderators are refusing for similar, or it's even an automated refusal before moderation. Assets get checked against the whole database, so the have to use a tool for this.

Even if the tool detects them to be similar, the three assets are distinct enough to pass on this merit and according to the rules. But by experience, we all know by now, that they don't really need to be similar for getting this refusal.

Most definately reviewers are using the similar refusals to reject images for no just cause. Files are being refused for similar for what is not close to or alike what the contributor submitted. Not withstanding the unreasonableness of expecting contributors to search the platform of billions of image to find out if what they are submitting is submitted already, contributors are given similar refusals for images that are not on the platform, nor in their portfolio.

Here's one example: Magnetite

This is the only chemical molecular structure diagram of magnetite that I found. To the best of my knowledge, this diagram is incorrect. I submitted one diagram that is totally different from this and it was refused for similar. The big question is, "Why are the reviewers engaging in this kind of refusal?"

Bottom line, there are rendering errors. One glove is missing a finger and they are different sizes and some of the jewelry is misshapen.

And the "similar" refusal that got triggered did spare Adobe to check these assets from moderation. That is a desirable side effect of a poor tool.

All assets shown here have quality issues.

Exactly. Unfortunately, I've had a couple of assets that were first rejected for quality issues, only to have them rejected as similar content on the second try. This is the one that really throws me, since that means even "similar" assets are sometimes getting past whatever is judging them as similar, then finding them similar later, despite no changes in titles or keywords.

If this is one of a series of images with the same elements, it could be considered as close to one or more of what you submitted. Also, I recognize the lion as a trademark.

Trademark of what? The heraldic lion is used by many countries, and as I do think, that it would be possible to trademark this, I don't think that a generic lion would violate that trademark. However, as it seems to be generative AI, I detected also a lot of inconsistencies in this design(s), some that could and some that would probably not get noticed by the moderators.

The designs themselves are distinct enough not to be similar to each other, however.

Don't put too much emphasis on this refusal, it is not really good understood what exactly triggers this. Some suspect that it has more to do with the metadata than the actual content. So having distinct metadata from all content in Adobe stock may help you to avoid this refusal.

Even very seasoned contributors, having a rejection rate in the low percentage range are suffering from this now. Adobe is happy with the results, so we do not expect this to change anytime soon.

Regarding rejection due to similarity, this applies not only to the content of the asset itself, but also to the title and keywords.
Please be careful if you have registered a large number of assets with similar titles and keywords.

If you check this forum, you will find many topics about the similar refusal. Adobe did determine that your asset is similar to others. They did find something, however they compare the assets.

In all cases, we do not know what exactly triggers this refusals, but it is probably a multitude of different parameters. Check the forum for more information on this and what we think that you should do.

BTW: it is neither helpful, nor does it advance your cases, to post each single similar refusal you get. except that your assets are indeed similar one to an other.
