I don't know understand exactly why my illustration was rejected?

Hi everyone, I had created a one-in-a-melon birthday banner illustration (which got rejected) and another banner with two-sweet theme (which has been accepted). I don't know understand exactly why my first illustration got rejected when the second one has been accepted, both has been saved and submitted at the same quality.

They really are "two" cute! Very creative. 😊

Shame you got a rejection. But I guess they can be fixed. You might have better luck if you recreate these as a vector or at least offer a vector alternative to the JPG's?

    This is a long shot, but maybe the moderator didnt get the pun?

      Perhaps they were reviewed by two different Moderators; both images look rather soft with jagged edges when zoomed in.
