Hi guys, I uploaded photo of Kyoto tower at magic hour and it's not accepted.

I wanna know the reason why it's not accepted and has quality issue.

As mentioned, due to the fact you had a shutter speed of 80 sec, there are some signs of camera shake - the image is just a little fuzzy! The white balance needs to be fixed to a certain extent as it is taken in twilight.

The branches are distracting and the perspective should be corrected; people don't like leaning buildings!

I also wonder about IP rights for the Kyoto tower as well because it is in light.

Read this about adjusting white balance:

Have a read of this. It's a brief guide on image quality:

Known image restrictions:

Even though Kyoto is not on the list, it still may have restrictions!

Oh, I should be more familiar with IP. Thanks!

The tower is definitely an IP problem, because of the tower itself, but also the signs. But in addition, you should take care of the correct exposure of such objects. It's not easy to correctly expose, and you certainly need to use a tripod and exposure bracket to be able to shoot at a lower ISO to get rid of the noise.

Even that it didn't get accepted for stock, does not mean that it is in and of itself a bad picture. Many pictures, getting refused here, are making a good impression on social media. It does only mean that Adobe thinks it is not meeting their quality requirements and that it cannot be used commercially in all situations.

As a side note: When posting here, you should tell us the reason the moderator gave you to reject the asset.

I agree with the feedback provided by @George_F . In addition to noise, soft focus, and underexposure. The verticals are leaning, and I would have edited out the distracting leaves intruding into the frame, or repositioned myself to exclude those if possible. In order to capture the wide dynamic range of light and shadow in this image, it would have been best to put the camera on a tripod and shoot bracketed images which could be merged in Lightroom or Photoshop. You also have signs and logos on the buildings which would need to be edited out in order to avoid an IP rejection.

Thanks for your reply! I didn't consider about verticals and distracting leaves. Thanks again.

Greetings!

When zoomed in to 100% there is a noticeable amount of noise, the details of the buildings are soft, the photo is slightly.underexposed, and there is wide angle distortion noticeable between the buildings.

For a shot like this the iso should be lower, and the aperture higher.  Make sure to expose the shadows a bit higher.  For a shot at dusk like this, it's tricky sometimes to get the right exposure in both the highlights and the shadows, but that would be the goal here.  I definitely recommend watching the histogram as you shoot with this sort of light, the bright LCD tends to fool us during this time 🙂.

Thanks for your reply. I just got into this community and I was little confused about the guild-line but you made it crystal clear. Thanks again
