I had 10 images rejected for being too similar, even though the fish weren't similar at all. I was really upset about spending so much time on those images, so I wrote to support. I was told in this forum that support doesn't look at rejected photos. Somehow, all ten are now in my portfolio. Do you think it's because I wrote to support or because I put them up in the forum? I only put five of the rejected images, not ten. How do you think this happened?

There’s no way of knowing what happened, but in general you will not receive any reply to a request for more info regarding rejected images. Adobe’s Moderators would be absolutely flooded with appeals if that was allowed.

Some here believe moderators have the final word… I refuse to live my life that way. That’s like getting a traffic ticket and not fighting it.

I’ve made mistakes failing to I see small signage or branding on a wide shots that prompt rejections. Moderators must have tools to help them find issues like that, but I also believe they make human mistakes due to a vast amount of bad work submitted. The process has taught me to be much more observant of the tiny details.

Working 35+ years as a professional photographer is real life experience, not a title or know it all ego display.  Our way to appealing is by resubmitting when one is Absolutely certain the photo is amazing and or up to standards. The results I’m getting tells me Adobe wants me here, and behaving as a great partner to me.

    Cheers!

Jodi, I’ve had photos and videos rejected, then saw they were under review, and finally accepted. I don’t think it had anything to do with you contacting support. One more thing, I stop submitting new work on Fridays, by Tuesday i was getting too many shots rejected, and after trying again on Wednesday/Thursday most get accepted in less than 24 hours…

So if anyone tells you rejections are final and can’t be appealed they look at things through their own lens, and like debating when no debate is necessary.

    Congratulations!

Thank you for that suggestion! Do you upload on the weekends, or is that the same as Friday?

No, I stop uploading on Fridays or weekends. Moderators are only human… I could be wrong, but it’s working for me :)
