Correct answer Jill_C

Nothing is in focus, there's noise in the background, and the tips of the wings are cut off.

The eyes, face, legs are in focus with a bokah background. The butterfly was on sand so the photo was literally going to have grain on it. I do agree that I wish I had the entire wing. One of those after thoughts when it was on the computer and I could actually see the photo that I realized it.

White balance is too warm (yellow).

Focus problems.  Too much of the image is blurred.

You've chosen a very challenging subject, I'll give you credit for that.  But Stock expects highest visual & technical quality regardless of how challenging they are to capture.  Read these links.

Best of luck with your next submission.

Thank you for all your helpful information. With stock photography, I'm guessing that they want the opposite of how I shoot. No bokah?

You're welcome.

Think about why customers use Stock services.  They're looking for high quality assets they can use in their own projects.  Everything from digital/VR media to printed products.  Blur & bokeh effects are a design choice.  If desired, the customer can easily add background blur with Photoshop filters.  But they can't take it away if it's already there.

I can't tell you not to use bokeh but I think you'll sell more assets without it.
