Question

I received two emails this week saying files had been removed, even though my account was deactivated two months ago. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it normal to receive these emails after the matter has already been settled?

Maybe someone filed a separate DMCA complaint to have the assets removed. Or possibly, Stock received separate customer complaints that resulted in content removal.  It’s hard to know what triggered the removal.

It almost sounds like two investigations are going on at once and tripping over each other. Did you by chance send a follow up email asking for the status after the account was deactivated? Doing so can potentially create two case numbers and cause confusion on Adobe’s end. It doesn’t sound like you did, so I can understand why you're confused about what's going on.

Hm. I don’t recall anyone posting a similar issue, but could it mean the images that resulted in your account being deactivated have been removed during Adobe’s investigation and that your account might soon be made active soon? Just a guess, but I would view this as a promising step in the process. Maybe someone can chime in with their opinion.

I had already filed an appeal and asked for reactivation two months ago—only to be told nothing could be done—and was authorized to create a new account and start from scratch. Today, I received two confusing messages stating that files had been removed due to intellectual property issues. I sent a message to support yesterday, and it’s been over 24 hours without a response.

In your initial message, you did not state that Adobe found the suspension to be definite.

We can only speculate, and the most logical answer would be, that there were two or more ongoing investigations. The message has been produced automatically upon removal. Even if Adobe shuts down an account, the data will still be accessible to Adobe employees for any relevant action in the case of a complaint of any sort.

24 hours is not a really long waiting period. Please let us know what their answer is when they answer.
