I recently submitted a photo that I initially thought was great quality but it was rejected for quality issues. Does the photo have to be unedited in order to submit ?

Photos DO need to be edited properly before submission when needed. This appears to require some desaturation and the highlights are overexposed. It might also be considered too tightly cropped. The red spots in the image below indicate overexposed areas.

It seems that you haven’t read the photo guidelines on Adobe’s Learn & Support help pages. ALL photos require editing prior to submission. Buyers have the expectation that images are usable “as is” and that they won’t have to edit them to remove flaws.

This photo is over-exposed and has noise grains.

Details are lost in sections of the subject that could be an indication of too much saturation.

Thank you so much , I appreciate the feedback. I am still learning how to properly edit. How were you able to identify what was over exposed?

This is the Histogram and Vectorscope for your image. The arrows in the corners indicate over- and under exposure. The Vectorscope shows the reds are overblown in terms of saturation.
