Get a full-time job at a California fast food restaurant chain where the mininim wage is $20/hour.

Stock is a nice way to earn a 2nd income on the side but it won't make you rich.

Anyone that suggests that a "newbie" can make $1,000 a month for stock photography is dishonest. It takes times to learn the tools, which include not only intelligent prompting, but upscaling and skillful editing using Adobe Photoshop or something similar. It takes time to use those tools, and many generated images will be completely flawed and beyond repair. The software tools are not free. It takes time to upload and add titles and keywords, and the waiting time to get those assets reviewed and approved by the stock agency is considerable. There might be some Contributors making $1,000 a month from stock sales; but for every one of those, there are thousands of Contributors making $10-$50 (or less) per month. The vast majority of Contributors view Stock sales as a "side-hustle", something to do in their spare time. Few actually make a living at it. It's not a "get rich quick" scheme.

Unfortunately, there is no easy or fast way to start earning a lot of money with Stock.  That's my opinion at least.  Stock is more of a marathon than a sprint.

With any sort of asset, one would need to consistently submit in-demand and high quality assets over several months or longer.  Having a diverse portfolio helps as well, but don't forget about the high quality and in-demand part.

Also, I believe the term "passive income" is a misnomer. Be prepared to work 10 to 12 hours a day in front of your computer creating and submitting assets if a grand a month is your goal. And most of that will go to chiropactic bills and physical therapy sessions to fix your aching back. 😉

I would suggest that you view some YouTube videos on how to sell on stock agencies. The legitimate ones, not the ones claiming to be earning four to five figures in income per month, when they are really earning passive income with their YouTube videos promising big bucks to people who submit to stock agencies. Note that there are only a handful of agencies accepting AI at the moment.

If you mean on Adobe Stock alone, then it becomes about the quality and the quantity of images you have in your portfolio, along with some expert titling and keywording.
