I'd love to know why these images are being rejected besides "Image Quality Issues"

Have you calibrated your monitor?  Maybe what you're seeing on your computer display isn't as acccurate as you think it is.

Kia ora,

Your photo is somewhat flat. Try to bring out the stamens more - make them pop!

Perhaps something like this:

I'll take a look at the image again... this would definitely be over edited as it's not remotely close to the actual flower... this is where it gets confusing becasue they say not to over edit but then you suggest over editing to have it become accepted.

Natural photos are preferred, yes.  But the final photo must be visually appealing.  Otherwise, nobody will buy it.  The best selling Stock photos have wow factor.  The colors pop and the image says something to viewers.

Cameras rarely if ever deliver perfect images. If they did, we wouldn't need Photoshop & Lightroom.  All digital photos require some editing to compensate for the camera's limitations and other faults.   The extent to which you must enhance colors, light, shadows, etc... depends entirely on the quality of photo you have to work with.

Unfortunately, your flower (although very nice) is not going to make you many sales because Stock already contains over 27 million flowers. Yours will probably never be seen.

Look for more unique subjects to photograph. Before you submit, compare your work with other Stock inventory to ensure yours is as good or better than what's already there.

Hope that helps.

It's an exposition error: you have no highlights.

You may also take down a little the colour temperature, add some contrast, texture and clarity. It's a nice picture, I think you will get this accepted.

You should, however, also edit out those “defects”.
