Image quality rejection

I am definitely far from a professional photographer, but I thought my photos were pretty decent. However most of them are getting rejected for "image quality". Here are a few of my favorites that were rejected, can someone tell me what is wrong with them?

Hi there,

There are a number of problems with your images, unfortunately. All your images are underexposed - they are too dark, they seem to be out-of-focus and you have no point of interest. There is no focal point for the eye. There is nothing to hold the eye's attention.
