I got this description of the rejection. "Unfortunately, during the review it was found that it is similar to another work or works submitted by you earlier". I looked through my portfolio several times and found nothing similar or even close. Someone must have been joking.

I assume that the given reason was a mistake. The photo should have been rejected due to the quality of the blurred face of the person in your photo. Also, the blurring of the car plate and yellow sign are not of the Adobe standards.

Hi @voy fon ,

I agree with @RALPH_L . You need to neatly remove recognizable people or get a model release. Blurred face is not accepted. Regarding the license, it is preferred that you remove the entire plate. However, you might be able to remove the number and get it accepted. Whichever you choose, it need to be seamless. That goes for whatever other editing you do.

Best wishes

Jacquelin

Blurring faces to avoid model releases is not working. If it worked before (and I know that some people have added such assets), the assets got added by error. But anyhow, this asset is so much over processed, that it is very optimistic to think this would pass.

In addition, you should learn, how to properly edit out number plates and logos:

I won't, however, understand, why you modified a Stop-sign:

The "similar" refusal appears to be the go-to reason for rejection for many assets lately, even if the assets in question have quality issues first and foremost.

Sorry, but as per Adobe standards you should remove faces, license plates, and other corporate logos.

Yes. But in this instance, the entire individual should have been eliminated, rather than simply blurring out the face. In the case of license plates, blurring the numbers and letters would work, but it must be done in a manner that the numbers/letters are illegible, rather than eliminated entirely.

But back to the original reason for rejection: too similar. This applies to the entire database, not just to your previous submissions. And it's also a major point of contention at the moment, as many contributors are having assets rejected for this reason and without just cause.
