Question

Images not uploading to the forum and email notifications stopped coming in

Is the forum acting up for anyone else? As of yesterday, I stopped receiving emails with regard to new posts and when I attempt to upload an images, I get a “something went wrong” notification. I’m using Safari, but the issue occurs on two other computers with entirely different OS operating systems.

Can you show us a screen shot of the error message?   (^_-)

(I feel like I’ve been struck dumb being unable to post screen shots, so I’m trying to use ascii art where it’s the tiniest bit relevant.)

So, according the web, the PHP vulnerability has apparently been patched and most if not all sites are back up and it’s business as usual. Yet images still fail to upload.

Interesting. I tried uploading an image on another forum and after waiting forever for it to finally upload, I hit cancel and the image suddenly uploaded just a split second after I canceled. So I tried again and got the error message.

For several days, I’ve been getting sporadic error messages & content towards the bottom of this page won’t fully load. Ditto for the overview page. So something’s broken in the forum software.  I don’t use Slack so I have no way to report it.

I use it. When I get home I’ll head over there is report the issue if no one has already done so.

If it’s related to the global PHP shutdown, they probably can’t do much for 2 more days.

Maybe you accidentally unchecked the 'subscribe' option?

I tried uploading an image to this comment and got the same error message you mentioned.

I was subscribed. To test, I unsubscribed and subscribed again, but that didn’t help.

As far as I recall, the 'subscribe' star would always get filled in after leaving a comment, but that didn't happen for me this time. It looks like there might be a bug with Adobe's servers affecting Stock too, since an image I had approved isn't appearing in portfolio searches yet (though I know it usually takes a bit of time).

Edit: Nah, the subscribe star is working fine.
