Hi, I recently posted some photos on adobestock, but they were rejected for quality issues. What are exactly the problems with these photos in your opinion? And what can I do to make them better?

Hello,

Composition is an issue in these photos as well. It could do with quite a lot of improvement. Presently, they just look like holiday snaps.

Hi @Desirèe ,

It seem to have been a windy day when you too the first photo and you did not set a fast shutter speed, hence the blur.

There are also lost details in the shadows. The dark will print as a black blab, so you need to in crease the shadow exposure to show the details.

As highlighted before, there is also noise grains

The second image is excessively noisy - both luminance and chromatic noise.

The third image is underexposed and noisy - both chromatic noise and luminance

The fourth image is, like the third, noisy and also has color fringing.

It would appear in general you underexpose your frames, which contributes to a softer edge and for some of your photos try to compensate for the soft edge with aggressive sharpening. It does not work that way. You need to get the exposure right in the camera. Therefore you need to make sure your exposure and focus is correct and your shutter speed is set to compensate for object movement before taking the shot.

Best wishes

Jacquelin

Dark shadows in the first and second. The first has noise and the subject is too small. The third and forthare under exposed and the fourth has a slanted horizon.

The first one has underexposed shadows. The second one has a blownout area in the sky. The third one is underexposed.

Enlarge your photos to 100% and check them for noise, blur, and exposure.
Use these as keywords to reselect your photos and, if necessary, retouch the brightness and other aspects using Lightroom or Photoshop before submitting them.
