Images rejected - Tech issues

Hi

Can you please advise me what I need to do to improve this rejected picture. Not sure if it is out of focus, The birds head is clear, grass is not but surronds it. Can it be edited to standards or is it totally reqected? Ive tried to improve with the histogram....in the 2nd picture.

The whites are overexposed. Detail is missing.

I have also the impression the whole picture is over sharpened, and that the body is out of focus and the whites are overexposed. One stop less would probably have helped the exposure…

I think the problem is that too much of the foreground is out of focused nad the hens head is also not real sharp. Also I believe that the white cheek is too burned out.
