Inquiry Regarding Portfolio Growth, Popular Vector Niches, and Low Downloads

Dear Adobe Stock Contributor Team / Community,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am currently an active contributor on Adobe Stock. However, I am experiencing very low sales and downloads on my portfolio. I want to optimize my profile, create high-demand content, and significantly improve my earnings on the platform.

Could you please provide me with a detailed guideline and suggestions regarding the following points?

  1. Popular & High-Demand Niches: What are the currently trending and high-demand commercial vector/graphic niches that I should focus on?
  2. Portfolio & SEO Optimization: What best practices should I follow for titles, category selection, and keywording to rank higher in Adobe Stock search results?
  3. Actionable Steps to Increase Downloads: What specific strategies do top-performing contributors use to increase overall visibility and convert views into downloads?

Read through every section in your Stock Contributor User Guide. Although vector graphics are mainly used in print, the photo & illustration requirements also apply to vectors.

We can’t tell you what customers want. But we know what customers frequently complain about. See below for more details.

    1. Make lists of subjects & themes that interest you. Inspiration for ideas comes from everywhere. Keep the list close by so you can add to it.
    2. Compare your list with current Stock inventory.
    3. Is this something Stock needs (keep) or is this keyword over-represented (discard)?
    4. Rinse & repeat.

    Hope that helps.

Read all of the Adobe Stock Contributor guidelines which contain a lot of info to help make you successful. Search for the videos by Mat Hayward on YouTube regarding keywording. They’re a few years old but still quite valid.

    1. Any or all of them. You can always check the recent top sellers list located here: https://contributor.stock.adobe.com/en/insights/best/contributors/vectors but be forewarned that submitted the same may result in similar content rejections since these sellers may already have a hold on the market in question.
    2. Many contributors use Gemini, ChatGPT or other AI models to assist in creating titles and keywords, followed up with careful inspection of the results to assure the AI stayed on subject and did not include unrelated keywords. I personally use Apple Intelligence on my Mac, should you happen to be using one.
    3. We don’t know, and most aren’t telling, as mentioned in my previous post. But, as also mentioned, sales are slow for a large number of contributors. Perhaps many buyers have turned to AI to produce their own assets, but that is conjecture. Other factors, such as the present economy, may also be at least a part of the problem.

Sales are lower than usual for a large number of contributors and those that are still successful are keeping their cards close to their chests to keep it that way and avoid competition. This is the case for photographers, AI creators, videographers and illustrators.
