Inspection for more than two months

Hello, my illustrations have been on validation for over two months now, will they be validated or just left hanging there forever, I was wondering if this is a normal situation or if I did something wrong, and if this is a normal situation what did you do?

It is not unusual for submissions to take 2 months or longer to be reviewed. I have some that have waited between 4 and 12 months.
