Can someone please tell me what intellectual property is in this totally made-up fantasy image? Created on ChatGPT.It is made up. It is a fantasy. I don't get it. This is the second rejection from two inspectors. Please help.

During our review, we found that it contains elements that appear to be protected by intellectual property (IP) laws, so we can't accept it into our collection. Elements protected by IP may appear in the image or in the description, title, and/or keywords.

Just a guess, but maybe it’s a stylistic issue? There are strong hints that the AI drew heavily from the artist Christian Riese Lassen. There are other similar artist working in this style as well. Again, just a guess.

Also, a Reverse Image Search in Adobe Stock yields lots of similarly styled images with the same colors, shapes and themes.

Hi, do you happen to remember the title and keywords you used?

Sometimes the issue can be just one word that may be protected by intellectual property (IP).

This was the caption. I don't remember the key words, but ChatGPT usually takes them from the caption. AI image A breathtaking fantasy landscape featuring a radiant celestial sun, glowing rainbow, cascading waterfall, and vibrant ocean beneath a star-filled cosmic sky. Brilliant colors, dreamlike cloud. Do you think it could be celestial sun?

Hm, at first I didn't think "celestial sun" would be a problem. However, after searching the term on Google, most results show an anthropomorphic sun (with a human face), very similar to the Sun of May found on the Uruguayan and Argentine flags. So I wouldn't be surprised if that was one of the reasons for the rejection.

But it's hard to know for sure without seeing the keywords as well. 😞

Thank you. I don't even know who Christian Riese Lassen is

Regardless of whether you know his work or not, it’s well-known that ChatGPT borrows heavily from recognized artists, writers & publishers.  Multiple copyright infringement lawsuits against Open AI & Microsoft are currently pending in the Southern District Court of New York.
