Question

Is anyone else experience delayed sales reporting?

Typically I have anything from 3-7 sales a day, on average, and it has been this way for well over a year, sometimes more, sometimes I’ll go a day without a sale, but not often.

I am now on 5 days with no sales, it has likely been 18 months or more since I have had anything like this.

Support says the account is fine and in good standing, but it simply doesn’t seem to be.  that is a significant drop in activity.

Wondering if anyone else is, or has experienced this before?  How long it usually goes on for, if sales are still happening just not posting to the account . . . honestly just trying to figure it out as it is highly unlikely I have gone this long without one.  Portfolio is around 6K video assets for reference and last year averaged 1000 sales, off to a good start at 250 this year.

Thanks for the responses everyone, really appreciate it.  I fully understand that there are fluctuations in sales, it's part of it, and you're correct, I seem to see better sales numbers with continual tinkering with the account, updating titles / keywords / uploads.  I check daily as it helps me keep on top of what, if any, new uploads and keyword decisions are making impacts and how quickly, especially when I have large volumes going up in any period, like I do now.

However, my question still remains.  Im a math person, I live in statistics on a daily.  One day without sales isn’t unusual, it'll average out.  Two days is unusual, but it does happen.  Three days is an anomaly.  Six days, however, with the sales volume I average, a wide range of content etc is a bit of a statistical improbability. Not that it cannot happen, only that the math suggests it almost certainly shouldn’t, even with market flux, which I do tend to notice on rolling monthly basis.

I have not gone a week without sales in over two years, and then my portfolio was about 1/10th what it is now which suggests a less than 1% chance that I ever should go a week without a sale.

Again, not saying it can’t happen, only that math suggests it shouldn’t which is why I am checking

Are there ever reporting delays?  Sales held back for some reason?

Again, really appreciate all the replies!

UPDATE : Today I did finally receive my first sale of the week, followed within an hour with my second.  While it does look like sales are down overall, not having any sales for six days, then two within an hour of each other does indicate that from time to time profiles might be in a review or hold phase or something, or that reporting can lag

    Just my 2 cents

I avoid looking too deep into daily activity precisely bc it’s confusing.

This Monday for example I sold 14 assets, and Tuesday only 1.

But by looking at my statistics chart, I have been able to accurately predict my sales 12 weeks in advance.

I think Ralph’s point is HUGE, continuing to contribute seems to give additional support to my  algorithm and getting my work in front of buyers.

I’m having a blast doing this, and that has no price!

    Cheers!

@RALPH_L is correct, but increasing competition could be another factor.
