Question

The question seems quite straight forward but what I want some clrification of is several imeges that have been rejected for quality issues but I cannot see what the issues are. My attempts to add one of the images to a post have failed due to the size of the image but I shall try again. But now it works ! The lanscape format image was rejected but the second image was accepted though the landscape image from which it was created was accpted. This image is 4MB ans wont attatch.

Apolgies - the  second landscape image should read the full image from which it was created.

Yes, creating a post is the same as asking a question in this new forum software.

The image is a bit softly focused and noisy.

You can only upload images < 5MB.
There are a few things wrong with your photo.:

    1. the foreground needs to be removed
    2. the format is non standard. Use a panorama format such as 3:1 or 9:6
    3. you need some details in the sky
    4. the exposure needs to be brought down some
    5. the photo needs to be sharpened

Here is an example in 3:1 format:

Thanks everybody for all your input, very helpful. I will attach the photo that was accepted and was the image that the “panorama” was clipped from so I don’t understand the rejection. . I have reduced its size so it uploads. I have no idea how to specify 3:1 format when cropping an image, using photoshop. Does it really matter ? I agree the tree is completely superfluous and distracting. Can an image be rejected due to composition ? It would be tricky to add some more detail to the sky, perhaps a UFO image could be superimposed ?

Asking a question is the same as creating a post. This is a new platform so a little different than before. Regarding your panorama, the tree is very distracting and can be rejected based on composition.
