Is there a Visual Literacy Policy

By that I am referring to the level of detail (not to be confused with sharpness, pixel count, etc. etc.). To convey a measage, sometimes more detail is less effective. Studies have shown that people learn more from simpler images. For example, a sharp photpgraph of a person with a confused look on her face with a complex background, may not convey confusion as well as a more graphic rendering of a confused looking person with a simple background.

Also, am I correct that text bubbles should not be used, or are there exception?

I have never seen such a policy articulated, and indeed the "visual literacy" of an image is highly subjective and something that would be impossible to teach a Moderator to judge. Best leave this to the Buyer to decide if an image meets their needs. Adding text should always left to the Buyer as well.

As far as I know, Adobe has no such policies. That is up to the buyer.

No, there isn't. All assets are vetted for quality. If the quality is not OK, you will get a refusal. If it meets the quality standards, a look that looks confused and has a complicated background will be accepted.

You should not add text bubbles, and there are no exceptions. Users may add text bubbles, but they can't delete them if needed.
