Long Review Delays and No Downloads Yet: Seeking Guidance

Hello Adobe Stock Community,

I’m reaching out due to significant delays with my Adobe Stock account, which is preventing me from starting to earn despite applying all recommended strategies.

My Situation:
I currently have 48 images pending review, with some awaiting approval for nearly 3 months. This delay has made it challenging to get started and build momentum. Additionally, two images were approved about 1.5 months ago but have yet to be downloaded, so my earnings haven't begun. I’ve carefully applied best practices:

  • Keywording thoroughly for high visibility.
  • Uploading high-quality, unique content aligned with popular themes.

My Concern:
The review period has been unusually long, impacting my ability to establish any earnings. I’m also concerned that after approval, downloads haven’t started, leaving me unsure of how to proceed effectively on Adobe Stock.

Question for the Community:
Has anyone else faced these extended review times or a slow start with downloads? Do you have advice on expediting reviews or boosting visibility? Would contacting Adobe Support help, or is there another strategy to improve my images’ chances on the platform?

Thank you for any insights or support!

Under the present circumstances with respect to long delays, I suppose the best suggestion one can give at this point is to consider other micro stock sites that do not require exclusivity of one's assets. It has already been months since this issue began and we have no idea how long it will take before things open up again.

Thank you for your response! I appreciate the suggestion to consider other microstock sites that don’t require exclusivity. Given the prolonged delays and uncertainty around approvals, it makes sense to explore additional platforms to diversify my efforts and potentially start earning sooner.

I’ll definitely look into other options while waiting for my assets on Adobe Stock to be reviewed. If anyone has recommendations for reliable microstock sites that have quicker review processes, I’d love to hear them. Thanks for the guidance!

Use google to find them. There is absolutely no reason not to join other microstock sites as customers from one site are not customers to the other site, so you do not water down your earnings.

Currently, I would expect all other stock agencies to having a faster response time. Be aware that not all agencies allow for generative AI and that the rules for participating as a contributor may be (slightly) different.

Many Contributors are reporting long delays of 2-3 months or more. Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do to hasten the process. With nearly 511 million assets in the database, there is a lot of competition. If your approved assets are in competitive categories, it's possible that Buyers aren't even seeing your assets if they appear many pages down in the search results. While you're waiting for your assets to be reviewed and approved you can continue to upload and add titles and keywords to additional assets so that they're ready to submit when your account drops below the submission limit. This is a numbers game. The higher the number of approved assets on your account, the higher the chance of earning sales.

Thank you for your insights! It’s reassuring to know that I’m not alone in experiencing these long delays, as many contributors are reporting similar issues with approvals taking 2-3 months or more.

I understand that with over 511 million assets in the database, competition is fierce, and my approved assets might be buried in search results, especially if they fall into competitive categories. I appreciate the suggestion to continue uploading and optimizing titles and keywords for additional assets. I’ll certainly focus on building my portfolio further to increase my chances of sales.

While I’m eager to see my pending assets approved, I’ll keep this “numbers game” perspective in mind as I work towards expanding my contributions. Thank you again for your guidance!
