Looking for advice on Adobe Stock niche selection, research methods, and portfolio strategy for manual designs
Hi everyone,
I’m planning to focus more on creating manually designed assets for Adobe Stock, and I’d really appreciate some advice from experienced Adobe Stock contributors.
I’m particularly interested in understanding how experienced contributors approach niche selection, research, and portfolio building before spending time creating a large number of designs.
I have a few questions:
1. What is the better approach to niche selection?
Would it be better to:
- Focus on one specific niche and build a strong collection around it?
- Work across multiple/mixed niches?
- Or work on one niche at a time in batches and then move to another niche?
If the batch approach is effective, how many related designs would you generally recommend creating as a collection before moving on to another niche?
2. How do you find profitable or promising niches?
I would also like to learn how experienced contributors conduct niche research before creating designs.
What factors do you usually consider when evaluating a niche?
For example:
- Existing demand and downloads
- Competition and market saturation
- Search trends
- Seasonal or event-based opportunities
- Gaps in the existing content
- Commercial use cases
- Whether buyers are actually looking for that type of content
Are there any particular research methods, tools, or sources that you would recommend for identifying good opportunities on Adobe Stock?
I’m not necessarily looking for a specific niche recommendation. I’m more interested in understanding the research process and decision-making approach that experienced contributors use.
Any practical advice or personal experience would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
