Mass Rejected Photos!

I've been a contributor for over a year and have uploaded thousands of assets. My total rejected photos were around 120 to 130, which was acceptable. However, starting from December 2023, my total rejected photos skyrocketed to 600, with only 7 out of the recent 300 photos being accepted. The rejection reason cited is a 'quality issue.' I have meticulously checked everything, from titles and keywords to using an upscaler. There seems to be no noticeable difference between the rejected photos and the 7 accepted ones.

I uploaded the same set of photos to another platform, where they were accepted. Only 4 out of 300 were rejected there. I'm attaching some of my files here, and one of them is from the batch that got accepted. Please examine them and let me know if you notice any differences.

By the way, when creating AI images, you should also think about the white balance, tone, exposure, brightness, and focus - the usual photography stuff! In some of your 'warm-tone images' one could argue that the white balance is too warm!

The user can determine what 'tone' to give the image!

Hello,

A year is not long for a start, and even though you have uploaded 1000s of assets doesn't mean very much. As time goes by, moderators have to be more and more picky due to the fact that a lot of sites including Adobe, are inundated with poor quality. The sad thing with so-called AI-generated images is that people no longer need skill as the algorithm does the work for them; the image is produced, and hey presto, I have a sellable piece of work! This is no longer true. It takes time, skill, and energy to work with such images correctly - as pointed out here, such images are far from perfect the first time round.

At first glance, your images seem fine. Second glance, one begins to notice things. They don't hit you at first, but as you look at the image, some things are just not right.

Be prepared that you may see more and more rejections, as more and more AI images are uploaded. Unless you get really good at fine-tuning one or two images for upload. It's not as easy as you think!

As @RALPH_L said, think about QUALITY, rather than QUANTITY.

First of all, these are not photos. They are images that were probably created with AI acording to the instructions you provided.

Quite simple, it is obvious that you are putting your efforts into quantity and not quality. Regardless if the media is a photo or an image, they must be reviewed. Most images must be corrected. Looking at the second image I imediately found this AI rendered mistake that you should have seen and corrected before submission:

This blob in the leaves must be removed.

What is this?

The second and the last ones you mentioned are the ones that are accepted. This proves my point. If you want, I can give you the link so you can go and see that picture for yourself! These types of small things happen in AI-generated content, and to be honest, the older versions of AI models are worse than this and still get accepted

That proves only that the moderators are humans and make errors and should refuse more. There seems to be the false impression with generative AI submittets, that because the technology is not working always correctly, that those need to get accepted. It is, however, your job to correct those before submitting.

  1. I did not look at every one of the attachments - it is customary to upload just 2-3 here for feedback. However, I had no trouble in spotting errors in each of the ones I did look at.  In the first one, the flower stems are outside of the vase. In the second one, the table surface is not flat. In the 3rd the ends of the sofa are not symmetrical - one has a gap, the other other does not. In the bathroom scene, there are warped lines and drawing errors. In the final one, the shadows don't make sense.
