This photo of mine has been recently rejected. I wonder what professionals see I could improve on. I would love to enhance my photography skills.

On top of what others have already said with shallow depth of field/soft focus/noise in the photo, I can't tell what exactly is behind the leaf and how I might use this photo commercially.  I believe whatever is behind the leaf takes away from the composition and doesn't add anything to it.

Take some photography classes.  Join a photography club for feedback and constructive criticism.

Practice, practice, practice.

The focus flummoxed

Very little is in focus due to a too-shallow depth of field, and there is digital noise.
