Model release regarding Freelance photojournalist shooting documentaries,sport and features

I am a freelance photojournalist who has shot many photos of news events, sports, and feature, I have the names of those in the photos to filling in cutline for publications, but of course no photo releases. Is this content unusable?

Adobe sources their 'Editorial Use Only' content through trusted partner agencies only.

Yes, it is unusable without model releases. Nobody could use a sports person or celebrity or other person in an advert without their permission. Adobe does not accept "editorial" pictures from contributors, which would allow you to address the limited market of people who wanted to illustrate news events.
