Model releases While Photographing Crowds.

If I were to be covering an event such as a blues festival I would want to have shots of the crowd's reactions to the artist.  I would consider what I was doing as editorial content.  On other stock sites editorial is considered a separate category.   Adobe segregates it as an invitation only department.  Any thoughts please.

If there are 100 recognizable people in the image you must obtain and submit 100 separate model releases. We are selling commercial licensing so any recognizable person must give you written permission in the form of a model release before you can sell an image of their likeness.

Our editorial collection is sourced through Reuters. We do not accept editorial content from individual contributors at this time.

It's a matter of choice for Adobe. If you want selling editorial stuff and you are not with Reuters then you will need to upload to a different stock provider.

This is neither bad nor good. It's only a fact.

If you are able to capture the excitement without recognizable faces then you can submit the crowd, however once there are recognizable faces, you're required to submit model releases for each of the faces recognized.

Hi Robert,

I understand that other Stock sites have different terms which have like a editorial submission category, however, we have an editorial category for the images as well but for the contributors segment, the editorial submissions are by invitation only as of now.

Let me know if you have any additional queries.

Regards,

Sheena

Thank you for the response.  I knew that.  So how do you handle a crowd of

a few hundred people.
