Moderation Mystery

Hello Everyone,

Yesterday, I processed and submitted four images. It appears all four were moderated almost immediately. I say appears because one is nowhere to be found. Three are in my portfolio, all in a row, but the fourth has vanished. I have checked the "In Review" area, the "Not Accepted" area and my Portfolio pages at least ten times each.

Any suggestions or wisdom on the subject?

I sent an email for help, but it took about ten minutes for them to reply with a standard prewritten response that doesn't address this exact issue, and thus, was of no help to me.

I can easily resubmit, but I want to know who or what has my image...

Thanks in advance 😃

Hello,

I think in this case, it can be argued that the shape/silhouette of the the person can be recognized. For example, I know he is a man, because of his silhouette. This is different to the people on the pier. They are in the background. In this image, he is the subject, and therefore more easily recognisable (he would be able to identify himself) therefore a model release would be needed.

For this image, I would leave it and move on!

Did you check under "Pending," which I believe appears when additional information need to be provided, such as a model release? Otherwise, I'd resubmit. But try another browser first if you have one installed, just in case something in cache is messed up.

Yes, I was using my cell phone, but I finally booted up my computer and
immediately saw a notification. They WERE asking for a model release of
someone who was a silhouette. So I darkened his head as much as I could (
his face is as dark as his wetsuit now) and blurred his face as well. I
can't imagine that he would have been recognizable in the first one, but he
is definitely not recognizable now.

LOL, and they refused again! I have now done more than remove the emblem on his board (which was done the very first time); I have made the board completely devoid of any markings and even removed the fins. I'm open to suggestions as to why they insist I need a model release for my mystery man. Just to be sure, I also restructured the shape of the sides of his face, including his ears--they protrude less now. I've asked questions before about when I actually need a release, but I thought this was a no-brainer. Clearly, I still have much to learn, haha!

Thanks, in advance 😃
