My Adobe Stock account was deactivated — looking for advice and experiences

Hello everyone,

((Adobe Case Update 00517663))

My Adobe Stock account was deactivated due to an alleged AI content guidelines violation, but I was not informed which guideline I violated.

I have been an Adobe Stock contributor for 3 years, spending a lot of time creating, improving, and uploading my work while trying to follow the rules.

I have around $170 in my account and contacted Adobe on May 28 for a review, but I have not received a response yet.

Has anyone experienced a similar situation? Is there a chance to reactivate the account? And what happens to the remaining earnings if the account is not restored?

I would appreciate any advice. Thank you.

Best advice, be patient. Work on other projects. Submit work to other services.

    Good luck.

You can’t claim unpaid royalties while an account is deactivated. Adobe will notify you when/if they decide to invite you back. It may take several weeks or months, depending on their case load.  Accounts that are permanently terminated for rules or content violations forfeit their royalties.

In the meantime, re-read your Contributor User Guide.  It was recently updated.

I submitted an appeal on May 28th and haven't noticed anything yet. Is there any hope of reactivating my account? Did you recover your account after it was deactivated?

Has anyone experienced a similar situation?

Hi, I previously had my portfolio deactivated for a Terms Violation, so I think my experience may be somewhat similar to your deactivation for an AI Content Guidelines Violation. In my case, I had submitted many very similar or nearly identical assets, in other words, spamming.

Is there a chance to reactivate the account?

You can follow the instructions that appear when you try to access your portfolio. They should lead you to a page where you can submit an appeal. I would suggest carefully reviewing Adobe's terms and guidelines, as it's possible to violate a rule unintentionally. The appeal gives you an opportunity to address any potential violations directly and explain your situation if appropriate, so I would encourage you to write it honestly and from the heart. If your appeal is accepted, your portfolio will be reactivated.

And what happens to the remaining earnings if the account is not restored?

Your earnings should remain intact. From what I've read on the forum, this may not apply in cases involving fraudulent sales, but that doesn't seem to be the situation you're describing.

I know how devastating it feels to have your portfolio deactivated. I still worry that I may have overlooked something that could eventually lead to another deactivation...

Good luck, and I sincerely hope you're able to get your portfolio reinstated!

Yes, my account was reinstated. The appeal review process can take weeks or even months. In my case, it took three months, so don't lose hope!
