Hello everyone,

My Adobe Stock Contributor account was recently deactivated due to alleged violations of the Generative AI submission requirements.

I had over 900 vector files in my portfolio (both AI-generated and manually created vectors). While some files had previously received rejections for similar content, quality issues, and occasional intellectual property concerns, I never received any account warning before the deactivation.

My account had approximately $197 in earned royalties at the time of deactivation. I have already submitted an appeal and requested both an account review and clarification regarding my earned balance.

Has anyone experienced a similar situation? If so, were you able to get your account reinstated or receive your outstanding royalties?

Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

    Possibly related:

I’m seeing a swarm of Stock customer complaints about sloppy & unusable GenAI vector graphics & icons. Understandably, customers are hostile as hornets when they download & pay for misrepresented content they can’t use.

I’m not saying this pertains to you specifically. But Stock’s business reputation depends on good suppliers who deliver what customers expect. When that fails to happen again & again, it’s bad for everyone.

    • You can’t withdraw money from a deactivated account. Sorry.
    • If your account is permanently deactivated for Content or Terms violations, your unpaid royalty fees are automatically forfeited.

Work on other projects. Submit to other services

    Good luck.

I know there are many such sellers, but I am not one of them.

Quality and similar content issues never result in a ban or a disabled account. But you mentioned “occasional” intellectual property violations. If this happens often, especially if a moderator doesn’t catch it and a complaint is eventually lodged, that it something Adobe takes extremely seriously.

No deactivation but some of my images are being flagged as AI when in fact they are certainly not AI. Very annoying.

Some of my assets are being flagged as AI when they are not.

Re-submit with a signed Property Release form by you as the artist.

Before you resubmit, always make sure that your work doesn’t contain any OTHER reasons for refusal. Submitting an asset more than twice can result in a strike for spamming.

    Hope that helps.

    This is really disappointing.

You’ve file an appeal. You’v done all you can do. Do not follow up asking for any status updates, as this can create additional case numbers and slow down the investigation, which can take days, weeks, and even months.
