Question

My model release has been rejected many times

I upload the model release correctly, with all the names, signatures, photos, etc., but Adobe keeps rejecting it. What's happening?

Yes, she and the other models trying to get this model release approved are of legal age. Did you need to attach a photo of the model's driver ID? I didn't do that. The website doesn't say anything about attaching a photo of a document like a driver's license.

@Glauco O. M.

Maybe what they need is a Property Release.

Can you show us the photo?

🤷‍♀️

Was the model 18+ years of age?

Did the model provide a picture ID?

Can you block out sensitive data and show us the completed form you submitted?

Even so, everything was filled out perfectly, but they won't accept it.

Hi @Glauco O. M.

If you are doing this form, you need to print it, have the relevant request handwritten, signed by the model and witnessed by someone who sees both you and the model sign the document.

For an electronic signature, you must use the appropriate form. You must have the email address of the model. Highlight the asset you’re submitting.
Click on “Create a new release”
Click on “Create a release with Adobe Sign.”
The electronic form will open. Add the model name, e-mail address, portrait and any other necessary information, such as language, message in the email and information about the portrait. Review and submit.

The release will be sent to the model, who will sign and submit the completed form to Adobe.

Best wishes

Hi, how are you?

I've already tried the digital file 3 times and it wasn't approved.

I've also tried the printed file, filled out and signed manually, and it wasn't approved. It's really impossible to have an image with a human model accepted here. I don't know what else to do.

yes, I did that. Even so, everything was filled out perfectly, but they won't accept it.

The first time I submitted model releases I did something similar to you.  I entered some information on the computer and other like signatures life.

They were all rejected too. My advice is that you print a bunch of blank releases and do it all by hand, and “legible” specially on the model’s email and phone no.

That is probably the reason for all the rejections.

Best of luck!

I tried that and it didn't work. I believe Adobe Stock is no longer accepting model releases; there are many reports of problems here on the forum. It's best to try on another platform.

Hi @Glauco O. M. ,

Most release refusals are due to the date of the various signatures differ. On a document the signee must sign in the presence of the witnesses, which means the date signed by the model and both witnesses must be the same.

You can also opt for using the electronic release, in which case you do not need witnesses. However, the model must have an e-mail address.

Best wishes

Jacquelin

DO NOT share sensitive personal information on a public website!!!

See Model Release Checklist below:

https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/model-release.html

THINGS TO CHECK:

Did you complete the Model Release form from Adobe?

Did you use CAPITAL LETTERS for legibility?

Were all signature dates the same, including witnesses?

Did you submit a legible JPG of the completed & signed model release?

Hope that helps.

If you don’t share a sample of a rejected release, how can we help,

other than guessing what it is you are doing.

Definitely use Adobe Release only!

Friend, if you don’t share a sample of a release rejected, there’s no way anyone can help you. Are you using an adobe release?

This usually happens not because the content is missing, but because something in the release doesn’t meet Adobe Stock’s specific requirements.

Even if the form looks complete, common reasons for rejection include:

  • the model release format is not one of Adobe’s accepted templates
  • signatures are not properly dated or clearly visible
  • the document is not fully readable (low resolution or blurry scan)
  • mismatches between the model name and the file metadata
  • missing required fields depending on Adobe’s current guidelines

Also, Adobe is quite strict: even small formatting differences can cause rejection.

I’d recommend double-checking that you’re using Adobe’s official model release form and that the scan is clean, high-resolution, and fully legible before re-uploading.
