Question

Near 100% rejection rate - all due to quality issues.

After engaging on this forum and trying to be more selective in my uploads to avoid the dreaded “quality issues” quick rejection.  The result was one of my worst upload percentages yet in terms of what made it through.  For the first pic, I assume the power lines are a no-go.  Will any pic with power lines get rejected?

For the second, is it a lighting issue?  white balance?

Both were re-sized for upload

Your compositions are ambiguous.  That’s not what good Stock photography should be.

Decide what your main subject is and focus in on it.

For example, vintage+lampost+wreath is front & center in your 2nd composition. But the viewer’s eye is distracted by many competing elements.

    Another example, snow+stairs:

Also, correct your white balance. Snow must be snow white, not blue.

    Hope that helps.

If there is text on the sign or flag, it may be rejected due to IP issues.

What is the main subject of the second photo?
Is it the tree without branches? Or the building in the background?
If the building is the main subject, either cut the branches off the tree before taking the photo, or move to a position where the branches are not included before taking the photo.
If the tree is the main subject, take the photo without cutting off the tree.

Power lines are not a problem. I think the smudges in the sky, which look like lens spots, might have been the reason for rejection.

Thanks for that feedback.  It was actively snowing which may have caused the spots you mention, but either way I can see the need to clean up.
