hello all

Why now acceptation time is 8 weeks instead of 4-5 days max before?

If you are submitting only photographs you probably will not have to wait 8 weeks. The review queue for photos is generally shorter than for AI assets.

It might be worth noting that despite the extended waiting time notice, a few have reported having images accepted within 1 or 2 days after submission.

It appears that perhaps you have not been submitting assets for quite some time. As a result of Adobe's decision to allow Generative AI images to be submitted about a year ago, review times have been very volatile. 8 weeks seem to be the maximum, but that seems to apply to AI assets. Other asset types are getting reviewed faster.

But do you have to wait for the 8 weeks, or did you just see the announcement during the submission?

It's the waiting time before moderation. The reason for this is that since Adobe accepts generative AI, moderators have a backlog of about 2 months, even that they are moderating at high speed. Adobe decided to get the message nearer to the reality.
