Most of my pictures and being rejected for "quality issues." How can I improve? Any recommendations going forward?

IMG_20241025_064824624: Sillouette not properly exposed and not high enough. Use the Rule of Thirds. The sky has artifacts. The black spot in the upper right corner needs removing.

Hi unfortunately I'm (very) new to photography.

- what is the rule of Thirds?

- what are overexposed highlights and how can I correct them?

One of many Composition techniques

Start with proper lighting & camera settings — also known as the four variables of exposure.

Also consult your camera's documentation for specific metrics about your make & model.

Good luck.

20241025: Slanted horizon

2020704: Slanted wind turbine

20250414: Highlights on turtle are blown out; shadows need to be opened up

2041101: Weak composition; underexposed

Hi I'm new to photography. I see now that I did slant a lot of it (I think that's fixable with image rotation).

How can I fix the other issues (if possible)?

I think the details in the highlights of the turtle are lost forever. Generative AI might help. The shadows can be opened up in Photoshop or another graphics editor. Check out some YouTube tutorials for that. Same for compositional rules. Generative Expand might help with composition, but it's best to do that in-camera. It's always a good idea to leave room for copy or cropping by the buyer.
