[not tax advice, I have sollution XD] Contributor income vs taxes, invoices
Hola,
to make it clear, it's going to be a long message. I will start with: have sollution to my problem, can't get answer from a d o b e t a x @ for 2 week so I'm trying here.
I am a Polish citizen, I live in Poland and here I run a business as a freelancer, it means I issue invoices for services/sales. My country requires sales origination dates for taxes purpose. It must be periodic, for example monthly or quarterly. Dates will give me possibility to invoice Adobe monthly or quarterly. This document doesn't have any period specified: https://wwwimages2.adobe.com/content/dam/cc/en/legal/servicetou/Adobe-Stock-Contributor-Agreement-en_US-20240618.pdf
Without date in the contract, I will be forced to issue an invoice for each day I obtain a sale from Adobe Stock, no matter how much the sale was. So instead of issuing one invoice for the entire amount I ordered to be paid, e.g. USD 35, I have to issue it every day I sold the photo, eg. USD 0.50 .
I prefere producing cool photos instead of issuing stupid documents.
There is a solution: I need an indication of the settlement period.
Here come the first question Q1:
Is it possible to have a document / sign a contract that would specify the period for which I can issue an invoice? It can be super-simple note, pdf file:
Services between [MonkaLemonkaXD had in e-mail her personal data here XD] and Adobe Inc. ([Adobe tax data]) are billed every calendar month. The withdrawal condition is to reach the withdrawal threshold.
Signed by both: Adobe representant and me, perfectly with date 1st of July 2024
Polish tax law is restrictive and it is important to indicate the time period. Solution I described above will be more than enough. But if You have other, just let me know, I will try to hypnotize the accountant that it is the Only Right One. No date of withdraw can be date for taxes purposes. At least my accontant say no.
Q2: To what e-mail address can I send invoices for the sale of access to the photo?
All the best,
Monika
