Your pictures are out of focus, no doubt. But when you look at your composition, you also have an issue:
The whole visual language is focussed on directing the eye from right to left. The road, the mountain, the table, the person... Only the mule is in the lower right corner and is misaligned. That would work if you had been a little further away and there had been a little more space between the mule and the edge of the picture. So it looks as if the mule simply wants to walk out of the picture, only to not be depicted.

Had the first image not been rejected for soft focus, younwijld need a model release, even though the woman seems to be hiding her face. The second image lacks sharp focus and the sky is a bit overexposed.
