People and Property Are Fictional

I am submitting some AI-generated content to Adobe Stock. There is an option during submission — “People and Property are fictional” — that I would like to be clear about.

My content:

Contains no real people

Contains no real or known properties (houses, cars, buildings, brands, etc.)

All generated entirely by AI

Does not represent any real people or properties

In this case:

Do I need to tick (✔) the “People and Property are fictional” option?

If the image only contains AI-generated houses, cars, or objects, but they do not represent any real properties — does this option still apply?

I want to submit content in accordance with Adobe Stock’s policies, so I would appreciate your clear guidance.

Thank you for your time and cooperation.

Fictional people are not based on REAL people (human celebrities, historical figures, friends or family, etc...).

However, if you use a REAL human likeness to help create your AI content, then you need to submit a signed model release by the human model that the AI content was based on.

Hope that makes sense.

If there are no people, then do not check "People and property are fictional." Instead, click on the "No" button. If there are people, including robots, drawings, cartoons, or anything close to resembling people, check "People and property are fictional." As for property, always click the "No" button, since none of the property, be it a car, a cat, a house, a plane, or what have you is real.

But let's say you wanted to upload a photo of the White House. Or the Taj Mahal. Or a Ford Mustang. Or a Gibson guitar. In the first place, you shouldn't. Because property such as the White House or the Taj Mahal can not be rendered exactly as they exist in real life.  And a Ford Mustang or a Gibson guitar are intellectual property, even if perfectly rendered, and they would be rejected for an IP violation.

Hope that helps.

I am submitting an AI-generated humanoid robot image. Is it correct to tick the “People and Property are fictional” option for this type of image—please confirm?
Thank you.

I wouldn't say so in this case. But it wouldn't hurt. But I'll tell you in advance, humanoid robots are represented over 1 million times, and robots in general over 4 million. So you might get a similar content rejection.

Yes "fictional" means not real.
