Phone verification fails — "An error occurred" (Pakistan +92)

Hello, I'm trying to complete phone verification for my Adobe account to access the Stock contributor portal, but I cannot add my mobile number.

 

- Country: Pakistan (+92), full number entered correctly without leading 0

- Error on every attempt: "An error occurred while performing this action. Please try again later."

- Same error on account.adobe.com/profile and the Stock contributor onboarding page

- No Skip option, so I'm fully blocked from the contributor dashboard

 

Retried over several days. Is there a known issue with Pakistan (+92) numbers, or can support verify my number manually? Any help appreciated!

    I wish a Community Manager would pin this to top of the board so we don’t have keep repeating ourselves.

    Hi ​@Maha noor ,

    If you can access your contributor account, send a ticket to Adobe via the “Contact us” link at the bottom of your contributor page or your “Contributor Account” tab. Contributor Relations is the only one that can help you with this issue. There was a time the “Adobe Authenticator App”, later renamed “Adobe Account Access”, would work to authenticate your account; however, this app is not compatible with newer devices. No one on the forum can help you with this issue.

    Search this forum for “phone verification failure Pakistan.” 

    You’ll find more than 20 similar posts on this topic, and the answers are all the same: you can’t be a Stock Contributor until the geo-blocks are lifted at your end. Sorry.

     

    Check back in a few months. Find other marketplaces that CAN do business with Pakistan.

    Thank you for the reply! However, I don't think this is a geo-block issue:

     

    - I can access all Adobe websites normally (account.adobe.com, firefly.adobe.com, and the Stock contributor onboarding page all load fine) — a geo-block would prevent access entirely.

    - Pakistan (+92) is listed in Adobe's own country dropdown on the verification page — a blocked country's code wouldn't be offered there.

    - Pakistan is not on any embargo list, and Adobe products are sold and used here normally.

     

    The problem is specifically the phone-verification step: every time I click "Add", I get "An error occurred while performing this action. Please try again later." — on both account.adobe.com/profile and the contributor onboarding page. There is no Skip option, so I'm fully blocked from the contributor dashboard.

     

    Has anyone seen this backend error for +92 numbers, or is there a way to get the number verified manually? Thanks!

    There are dozens of posts from potential contributors from Pakistan who are unable to sign up due to the geo-block. Simply visiting the site does not require phone number verification. 

    “Pakistan is effectively restricted from Adobe phone verification and direct account onboarding because the +92 country code is missing from Adobe's verification dropdown, and Adobe does not conduct direct business operations in Pakistan.”

    Thanks for the reply, but both claims are contradicted by direct first-hand experience:

    1. “+92 is missing from the dropdown” — not true. I personally SAW Pakistan (+92 پاکستان) listed in Adobe’s own country dropdown on the phone verification page (both account.adobe.com/profile and the Stock contributor onboarding page). I selected it and entered my full number correctly on two separate days — both attempts failed with Adobe’s own error: “An error occurred while performing this action. Please try again later.” That is a backend error, not a “country not supported” rejection.
     
    1. “Adobe does not conduct business in Pakistan” — not true either. account.adobe.com, firefly.adobe.com, and the Stock contributor pages all load and work fine on my phone here in Pakistan. I even successfully generated images with Firefly’s free tier. A real geo-block would prevent access entirely.
    So the issue is specifically the phone-verification step throwing a backend error for +92 numbers, with no Skip option — which fully blocks contributor onboarding. Hoping Adobe staff can look into this or verify the number manually.

    Your country is presently geo-blocked to prevent you from doing business with Adobe. Geo-blocks restrict network or website access based on a user's physical location. This is not at Adobe's discretion and is not responsible for the block. Until or unless the geo-location block is lifted, consider submitting assets to other potential stock sites doing business nearer or within your region.
